Our maths activities have had an Easter focus, and have been very engaging for the children. We made hot cross buns using kinetic sand and others with brown paper. Both of these types of buns were cut in half where the children concluded that 'half' means two, equal pieces.
We used large outlines of Easter eggs to create patterns using various materials, played an Easter board game, used the Kidpix program on the computers to draw an oval and decorate it as an egg, and rolled two dice to add and colour an Easter egg. We also used our bunny ears to double numbers!
