After reading a story about mixed up animals, our STEM challenge today was to design a new animal that is a combination of two animals. The children were very creative in their designs! Check out our books below...
Wow - you should all be so very proud of your little ones and their strong legs today! All of our students walked almost 5km to the Broulee Surf Club along the beach, and back along the path... and not one of them complained once! It was a stunning day for a walk, and we all took time to reflect on what a beautiful place we live in. Please head to the Broulee Public School P & C Fundraising facebook page for photographs and to watch the whole school singing Shine Together.
What a wonderful welcome back we had with our pirate week! We collaborated to discuss what pirates are... can.... and have. We made pirate accessories, painted pirate pictures, read pirate stories and empathised with pirates, wrote about pirates, problem solved with pirate numbers and coordinates, sang pirate songs, danced pirate jigs and played pirate games. The highlight of the week, was of course the pirate treasure hunt - the kids were all sooooooooo excited to follow the map with Captain Dunn to uncover the treasure. We thank you all for getting into the spirit with us for pirate week and for dressing up your little buccaneers for pirate dress up day - we had a wonderful week!
Mrs Cathy West, Mrs Clare Dunn and Mrs Natalie Fairweather enjoy sharing learning from the Kindergarten day with you. Please comment so that we know we are reaching you :o)
