The STEM challenge today was a fantastic one! The children were asked to think of a way of communicating with a friend, 10 steps away, without calling out, using only paper, straws, cups, wool and tape. We are very impressed with the level of independent and creative thinking our Ks are engaging in during these sessions. They came up with a wide variety of ways to communicate, way beyond what we expected, and there was not one mobile phone in sight ;) The STEM challenge this week was to create a vege super hero. Check them out below! Hover over each photo to read the description :)
Congratulations to Ella, India-Arie, Nate, Lenny, Arkady and Sophie for their merit awards this week. These students will all be receiving their Bronze Awards at the whole school assembly this week.
"Today's the day the Teddy Bears have their picnic..." and what a great picnic they had! Thank you to our Year 6 students for the activity stations they organised and ran. The teddies had huge amounts of fun catching teddy taxis and taking scenic flights. Teddies visited the beauty parlour and then had their photos taken at the photo booth. Active teddies did the obstacle course and went camping, toasted marshmallows and had a fire-side story. Others got creative in the kitchen or making jewellery. When they were exhausted they popped along to the cafe to order some delicious food before all joining together for a few songs and dances to finish this special day. Thank you to all our Kindy parents for a lovely selection of food for our picnic. Our Kindies and the two local pre schools had a memorable time. |
